Haffey Playgrounds

For a playground to be truly inclusive, it not only needs to be accessible, but also age and developmentally appropriate and stimulating to the senses. By intentionally focusing on sensory play experiences in the playground, we create areas that engage all children. Through play, we will help improve the physical, social and emotional development of all users.

In order for this to happen, we need to consider the needs of all children: those with mobility challenges, developmental issues and the growing number of children with autism and others with sensory processing disorders.
